Neos Wave, in plain answers.
The questions clients ask most about managed customer service with people and AI. Short answer first, detail underneath. For the Dual CX framework and research, see dualcx.com/answers.
What is Neos Wave?
Neos Wave is a managed customer service company. It runs your customer service with its people and its AI as one team, to one standard, in the tools you already use. Typical clients see a 4.6/5 customer rating and a 25% efficiency gain, and service is set up in 3–5 days.
How do AI and people work together in customer service?
They work best as one service, not two. The AI handles what it is authorised to. When a conversation needs judgement, a person joins the same thread with the full context, and the AI carries on afterwards. Running AI and people as separate services is what causes repeated context, dropped promises and extra cost.
How do you keep AI customer service safe?
Give the AI no authority by default and grant each permission explicitly, so anything not declared routes to a person. Add a safety floor that no configuration can override: it never claims to be human, pauses for a person when someone is vulnerable, and never gives clinical, legal or financial advice. Then make every action traceable to its sources and model version.
Can a customer's AI call a contact centre?
Yes, and it already works. In a Neos Wave field test in March 2026, an AI agent acting for a real customer called a UK retailer's live support line, passed identity verification, and got a missing-delivery case logged and escalated, with follow-up promised in 24–48 hours. The human agent worked it as a routine call.
